A man named Charlie, brought this home to me loud and clear. The Devil is keeping so many in bondage. And this should not be. No, Jesus won the battle with the Devil. So we could be free. However if you do not dig this truth out of the Bible, or if you are not taught this in Church. You will remain a captive. You have been set free. And the key was put in a good place. The Bible. But if you do not find it you will spend your whole life in bondage, when you did not have to be.

I am going to share Charlie's letter with you. Because you may be a Charlie also. In shackles, looking for the key.

First off, I want to thank my Lord Jesus Christ for guiding me to your site. This site, and particularly the words of encouragement from Ferd, have been a much needed blessing.

I became a Christian over 20 years ago. During most of the past 20 years though I have not walked in my faith. It seemed that at every turn, someone of "faith" told me what God could or would do (actually it was more that they told me what God WOULDN'T do) in my life. They took the power of the Holy Spirit from me and led me to believe that "God doesn't do miracles any more". I was listening more to them than reading Gods word, so, eventually I fell away from my walk with Christ and had no power to live. I had heard so many times that if I asked for something in prayer, and didn't receive it, that it "wasn't Gods will" (either at that time, or ever in my life). I had heard this so many times that it pretty much became "my faith", a faith of unbelief in Gods power through the Holy Spirit.

I KNOW in my heart that God has the power to do anything, and that Christ has said he will give us what we ask for. I have been told so many times though that we will only receive that request if it "is Gods will", that I have a hard time taking that step of faith and accepting his promise. The seeds of doubt were planted so long ago in my life by well meaning Christians, and those seeds of doubt have grown into a "plentiful harvest". I need to BURN this field of doubt in my life and live with the POWER of the Holy Spirit. Will you please pray that God will remove this doubt from my heart and soul, and that He will fill me with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so that I may be of full service to Him?

Recently I have discovered that Jesus told us to call no man a teacher, that the Holy Spirit who will come will teach us all things. I believe this with all my heart and know that it is true. I have an unquenchable "thirst" for Gods word now and can't seem to get enough of it. I know that the Holy Spirit lives in me, and I need to trust that God will use His spirit to make me into the image and likeness of Christ. I feel very strongly in my heart that God is calling me to be a witness in my own community, a witness through His power and Holy spirit, so that others in my area will see Gods love and power in my life, so that they might believe and be saved.

As hard as it is for me to have that kind of faith that I desire, as much as those seeds of doubt fill my heart and mind and choke out Gods promises. I KNOW God is working in me and that I WILL receive his gifts of the spirit. Pray for me, Satan is working hard on me because I think he knows just how much I will allow God to use me to His glory once I submit myself to the Lord completely. I thank you for your prayers and I look forward to writing again to let you know how God has worked in my life for his Glory, and how he has answered my prayer request. I have taken Joshua 1:8 as my favorite verse concerning reading Gods word, it builds me up constantly.

Charlie is a sincere Christian and by his letter, a very intelligent person. But God is not going to answer that prayer ... Why???? Because He already has. That is the truth about so many things we ask for. God has already provided for us. Now it is our turn to grab hold of His promises and use them to free us from the bondage that Satan will keep us in if we let him.

Here is just a part of the 2jesus response to Charlie. This may help you if you are trapped in doubt, unworthiness, anger, envy or any of the Devil's other little traps.

The promises in the Bible are for us. His children. Gal. 3:26. Every word is the truth. Because God cannot lie. Heb 6:18 ... But a promise is like a gift. You will never know you have it unless you know about it and receive it. You must take it and claim it as yours before you become the rightful owner.

Everything good is from God. And everything Evil or that is not up lifting is from the devil. So your doubt is from the Devil. He is trying to steal what is yours. You want to be prayed for to get doubt out of your life. Well you do not have to pray. Jesus has already given you the power to remove it. It was a gift to you. But if the Devil can hide your gift you will always be under his control. So follow me on this and we will remove doubt from your life.

Jesus told us. We have the power and authority to get the Devil out of our life. Mark 16:17, Jesus said, "In my name they will drive out demons!!!!!" Jesus just gave you the authority to use his name on the Devil. And told you that you could drive him out ... Plus look at this verse!!! Luke 10:19, Jesus said, "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions (devils and demons) and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you ..." Say those verses over and over to yourself and get them down into your spirit ... Then follow me in this declaration. This is not a prayer it is a command to the Devil.

Doubt. You vile demon of the devil. I cast you out in the name of Jesus. Shrivel up and die you have no place in my body anymore. Because I am free of you. The devil has no control over my life because I belong to Jesus. My body, my soul and my spirit belong to Jesus and he has defeated you and He has given me the power in Mark 16:17 to use His name and in Luke 10:19 to trample you under my feet and that you can no way harm me. So out in the name of Jesus. And if you try to come back, I'll cast you out again.

Praise God. Isn't Jesus wonderful ... He has armed us with His Word and with The Holy Spirit ... He said that He would never leave us. And He has not. He also did not leave us defenceless.

So my brothers and sisters. Do not let the Devil keep you in bondage. Set yourself free and become the person God meant for you to be. Set yourself free and live the kind of life God meant for you to have. Set yourself free, so you can show others the way out of bondage.
